Air Force Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, highlighted the vital role of the U.S. military on a global scale during a meeting with soldiers involved in the Joint Logistics Over the Shore mission to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza. The 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary) recently completed their mission to construct and operate an at-sea pier to facilitate the delivery of critical aid to those in need. Nearly 20 million pounds of humanitarian assistance were successfully delivered, showcasing the U.S. military’s commitment to humanitarian efforts and emphasizing the importance of logistics capabilities in maintaining a strong warfighting posture.

During his visit to the Fort Eustis pier, Brown praised the soldiers for their execution of the mission and their ability to adapt to challenges faced in the Mediterranean. He emphasized the significance of the complex logistics capabilities demonstrated by the soldiers, stating that these skills are not only crucial for humanitarian efforts but also essential for the United States’ warfighting capability. In addition to his visit to Fort Eustis, Brown also met with soldiers from the Army’s 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, Georgia. The 3rd Infantry Division recently led a mission to enhance interoperability and support NATO battle groups in Eastern Europe, conducting military exercises and engagements in Poland and the Baltic States. Brown discussed the unit’s priorities related to warfighting and innovation, as well as observing demonstrations of new capabilities developed by soldiers at the Marne Innovation Center within the division.

Furthermore, Brown visited the Navy’s Pre-Commissioning Unit John F. Kennedy, which is overseeing the construction and delivery of the Navy’s second Ford class aircraft carrier. Throughout his engagements, Brown reiterated his commitment to supporting service members and their families while continuously improving the nation’s warfighting capabilities. He emphasized the importance of striving for excellence in all aspects of military operations to ensure that adversaries are deterred and recognize the strength and readiness of the U.S. military.
