Worldwide disruptions due to Microsoft IT outage affecting flights, banks, and more

Budget airline Ryanair, train operators TransPennine Express and Govia Thameslink Railway, and broadcaster Sky News were among those affected.

In response to the global third-party IT outage, Ryanair advised passengers to arrive at the airport at least three hours before their scheduled departure time. Australian airports reported widespread problems, with long lines and stranded passengers as online check-in services and self-service booths were disabled. Passengers in Melbourne waited for over an hour to check in, causing delays and frustrations among travelers. The disruption in services affected various industries, highlighting the interconnectedness of technology in modern society.
