NATO Ministers of Defence to Convene in Brussels on June 13th and 14th, 2024

Allied Defence Ministers will convene at NATO Headquarters in Brussels on 13 and 14 June 2024, with the meeting being overseen by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. Media representatives who do not have annual accreditation for 2024 can apply for ad-hoc accreditation to cover the Ministerial meeting, with the deadline for accreditation set for Sunday 2 June 2024 at midnight. The Secretary General will address the media at the conclusion of each day of the Ministerial meeting, and on 13 June, a NATO-Ukraine Council will meet at the level of Defence Ministers.

A detailed media programme for the meeting of NATO Defence Ministers will be made available on the NATO website closer to the event, and information regarding individual Ministers’ media programmes can be obtained by contacting the national delegations. Media representatives with annual accreditation for 2024 do not need to apply for separate accreditation for the event, while all other media representatives must apply for accreditation via NATO’s media accreditation platform by the 2 June deadline. Accreditation requests will be confirmed via email, and media passes must be collected in person at NATO Headquarters.

Accredited media representatives will have access to the press area at NATO Headquarters on both days of the Ministerial meeting, as well as all public areas. They will also be able to attend Ministers’ doorsteps and the press conferences of the NATO Secretary General, which will be streamed live on the NATO website. National briefings will be held at NATO Headquarters by invitation only, and details about pooled events and distribution of pool cards will be provided in the media programme. NATO will offer broadcast-quality video in real time through EBU World feed or EBU News Exchange, and NATO photographers and videographers will provide video clips and photos of all public events during the Ministerial meeting.

A press working area will be set up on the first floor of the Public Square at NATO HQ, with working spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. Television and radio editing spaces can be requested via email to the NATO TV & Radio Unit. Media representatives can park in the Visitors’ car park at NATO HQ, with uplink vans able to park in a designated section of the car park upon request to the NATO TV & Radio Unit. For more information on accreditation, TV & Radio arrangements, and NATO video on demand, media representatives can contact the NATO Press Office or the relevant departments via the provided contact information.
